“Well, duh. When it comes down to it, you’re the only one who will.” Jon attempted to hug Sage, which didn’t work.
Brody chuckled. “Guess the two of you won’t be getting it on any time soon.”
“Brody!” Jon lifted his middle finger, ducked when Brody took a swipe at him, then left the room, ending up at the safe house moments later.

“What took you so long?” Jon asked when Brody didn’t appear until several minutes later.
“There was something I thought about—a bit too late to have Sage ask Mike tonight. I asked if he’d do it the next time he saw Mike. It took some wheedling to get him to agree.” Brody rolled his eyes. “Sage has it bad, so he was afraid Mike would take it the wrong way if he tried talking to him again. Not like Mike has a clue, of course.”
“We’ll have to do something about that.”
“Jon.” Brody waved an admonishing finger at him. “We are not going to play matchmaker. Not that we could, since Mike can’t see or hear us.”
