“It’s like they’re waiting for the next…blue moon or something before taking the final step.

“You know,” Brody replied, “how fast they move really isn’t any of your business.”

“But I’m a romantic at heart.”

“You’re nosy, at heart,” Brody retorted, rolling his eyes.

“That, too. Still, I want their happily ever after to happen—like yesterday. They’re not like us. They don’t have all the time in the world.”

Brody put his arm around Jon’s waist, flying with the younger ghost back to their newest abode. They’d found it purely by accident after the second time they’d had to move because the safe house they were occupying was needed by the police. When Jon suggested they look at a realty site to see what was available, Brody had pooh-poohed the idea—until he couldn’t take Jon’s nagging anymore.
