Chapter 94

Henry tore off what was left of his sweatshirt and then his jeans. Naked, he leapt for Jamey, his body changing as it arched through air.

The wolf landed at Jamey’s feet, and shoved its big head against him, putting its body between Jamey and everything else. Jamey felt it then, the electrical shock of contact, the connecting charge of both their magics. I didn’t lose the magic, I didn’t! He grabbed a tuft of the wolf’s fur as his body flared with a sudden bright, bright light, so bright that it stopped both the witch and the Watcher, the latter turning sharply to face the werewolf and the godling.

Jamey knew. When he and Henry touched each other, saved each other, he knewwhere and what the key was, and what they both had to do to turn it and open Loki’s lock. The veil had been lifted. His body remembered what it had always known.
