“I’m afraid we can’t let you leave, Otto.”
Edward’s voice didn’t stop me, but the bear of a man I ran into did. 3
“This is a kidnapping, isn’t it?” I shook my head. “The price of fame. You’re going to call my parents or Shawn for ransom, huh? How much am I worth?” The moment I struggled to free myself, the mighty arms around my chest released me. He just let go, so I shut my eyes and took a swing. “Ow!” All I’d punched was air, but the fierceness behind it might have dislocated my shoulder.
“Please be careful, Otto?”
“Don’t tell me what to do!”
He wasn’t Seth or God. He was a bad guy, a criminal. Everything made sense, now. All but one thing. Eyes opened or closed, it made no difference. I could feel the bulk of the man, powerful, strong, yet soft and cuddly, too. His broad chest was almost comforting when I’d laid my head upon it half a second. I still couldn’t see him, though.
