“You have much to learn and consider before even thinking about such things, Otto.” Gamila’s eyes captured mine. “Trust me.”

“Okay. Thanks.” I didn’t want to consider anything else.

“What you have seen so far could offer a false narrative of how things are here. Is it a wonderful existence? On most days, it is. Is there danger about? Yes. Danger you cannot even fathom, until you see it.”

“Oh.”

“Please, give yourself time to learn and discover and be taught the things you cannot grasp just by reading.” She turned again to depart.

I cleared my throat. “One more…ah, thing.”

“Yes?”

I felt I was testing her patience. “Do you know anything about past lives?”

“The concept is real.”

“So, maybe lovers can be together in different realms…different time periods or something…different incarnations?”

“That has also been noted in grimoire.”
