“We’re going to have fun, yeah?” But his smirk faded when he saw Luke standing there, a serious look on his face. Shaking his head a little, Alex sighed and turned away.

Luke didn’t say anything in the car, and Alex fell silent as he watched the road go by. He didn’t know where they were going, and he had stopped asking some fifteen minutes ago. He wished they could just stay at Luke’s home and have a peaceful breakfast inside and maybe a little nap in each other’s arms.
When Alex looked up next, his breath caught at the word Policeon top of the building in front of them.
“Luke, no. You don’t have to do this,” he pleaded. The man wouldn’t listen and drove on, his eyes seeking an empty parking spot. “Luke…”
Luke turned off the engine. “Come on,” he said. “I’ll tell everything to the cops, and they’ll take you home.”
“But they’ll arrest you!”
“So they should. I’ve committed a crime. I should be punished.”
