Chapter 8

“And don’t tell me you fell for Garrett, that son of a bitch.”

Alex huffed. “Yeah, Dad. I fell for him, but he’s not an SOB. You’re the one. Do you know something? I did plan to run away from home. Didn’t Seth tell you that?” He sneered. “I don’t care if you kick me out of home.”

“Guess you found a sugar daddy, huh?”

“Damn you,” Alex lashed out. “It has nothing to do with Luke. I had planned to even before he kidnapped me.”

“It’s Luke now, huh? Did he sleep with you?”

“Dad!” Alex lunged at him but someone stepped into the office at the same time.

“Alex Parker, my name’s Dr. Stevenson. I’m with the police. Please come with me.”

Alex straightened up and fastened the blanket around him. “Sure.” He was glad for the interruption. Right now he didn’t care what the doctor might do to him as long as he got as far away as possible from his father.

“Alex, wait,” his mother called out, but Alex didn’t look back.
