“Don’t be stupid, Ezax. You only find what I want you to find. You don’t think I can conceal things?” He spread his arms. “No one will find this. They won’t see it, and should they come close to the border, there will be a little nudge to make them go in the opposite direction.” He grinned. “We’re hiding in plain sight. I might let in your furry friend, though.”
“Fascinating.” Dread curled in Thad’s gut. If Jaecar, Ric, Leo, and Elora managed to magically track him here, they still wouldn’t see him.

Sandy had no idea what Grim was talking about, but considering how the color slowly drained from Thaddeus’ face, it couldn’t be good. He wished he’d brought pain pills. Thaddeus must be in severe pain by now. If he put something in his pocket while solid, would it survive going transparent, and going back to solid again? When he’d been naked in Thaddeus’ bed, he’d gone back to fully dressed once he’d faded, so it wasn’t likely he could bring things with him.
