Chapter 23

“You all can leave the kitchen to me,” Eric instructed the employees who happened to be inside the kitchen with him. “Just make sure to take care of the front of the restaurant. After that, you can go home. I’ll stay back for a bit longer.”

“Do you need me to help—”

“No,” Eric interrupted the chef before gesturing toward the connecting door. “I’ll be making something quick and easy for a friend of mine to cheer him up. I’ll see you all bright and early tomorrow morning.”

After that, all his employees left him alone in the kitchen. He didn’t pay much attention to the employees who were exiting the kitchen because he wanted to focus on his task. He might not be an excellent chef, but at the very least, his food was edible. He stared at the ingredients he had just placed on the counter while cracking his knuckles. He was going to cook some noodles for Benjamin, and he would throw in plenty of meat, shrimps, vegetables, and eggs. The more the merrier.
