“Back in Michigan,” Ed said, “A day like this would have the road covered in ice, too. Remember, Em, that time we took your brother’s Found-on-Road-Dead down the hill with the engine turned off? Sideways it goes! Wheee!”

Leo looked at him like he wanted Ed to move farther away from the wheel. Em was laughing. Every time she leaned forward the boys’ shoulders touched behind her and Leo just knew there was hanky-panky going on.

Leland laughed too. “We always called Fords Fix or Repair Daily but that’s a good one too!”

Em added, “We couldn’t have done it if we’d been sober!” and laughed hysterically.

Ed again, “Was it a possum or a raccoon we ran over?”

Em, “Which time?”

Leland, “We used to eat those!”
