I shrugged my shoulders. “My cousin’s family don’t give a hoot what I do, and this is theirland. I should think…” My throat felt dry, and I swallowed. “I should think myfamily are too lazy to come this far from home to look for me.”
“I see.” Ash sighed. “Wulfie, don’t you think you should visit your family? At least to tell them you’re well.”
“No!” I threw my arms around his neck, clinging on tight. “If I go home I won’t be allowed back here. Just a little longer, and I’ll be human. Then they will have no say in it.”

“Don’t you want me to stay?”
