“They said on the news that snow would come in.” Victor hoped it did, but judging by Jian’s grimace, snow wasn’t something they wanted for this date. “Should I call Mom and Dad?”


“To tell them we’re getting married.”


Jian smiled. “Or we can keep it a secret a bit longer and surprise them.”


Victor nodded. He’d love to tell them in person, but they hadn’t planned on coming here, and he and Jian hadn’t planned a trip to Spain any time soon. “Yes, we can wait. No hurry, right?”


They ate, hopped into the truck, and Jian drove them straight into the woods on a small gravel road Victor hadn’t known existed. “Do you know where you’re going?”


Jian nodded. “Yup, you’ll see in a little bit.”


Victor looked ahead and soon he saw some lights flicker between the trees. “What’s this?”
