It might have deepened, Damien wanted it to, but Radclyffe appeared. “Did you forget about me and your lessons?”

“Honestly, yes.” Lyle grinned as he got to his feet. “I had other things on my mind.”

“So I see. Put them on hold for the time being.”

“Yes, sir.” Lyle rolled his eyes, bent to give Damien another kiss, and then took off after Radclyffe.

Damien watched him disappear down the hallway and sighed deeply.

Am I crazy? I should have played into his anger instead of trying to make him understand why I did what I did, and the result. I know I’ll wish I had, but there’s no cure for it. I love him. He says he loves me. If I only get a few days to share it, so be it. It’s better than no time at all.
