Lyle Atwood's company is hired to costume a party given by multi-millionaire Warner Radclyffe. As he and his employees begin preparations for the job, Lyle begins to feel as if someone is watching him. Then he meets Damien Sauvage, the newest tenant in the apartment building where he lives. Damien tells Lyle that he's a waiter, and when Lyle confides in him that he thinks he's being stalked, Damien offers to help find out who it is. Joseph nodded. “When I was in high school I had a friend who was adopted. His birth mother showed up out of the blue, told him who she was, and tried to force herself into his life. That didn’t go well at all. At least your parents had sense enough to talk to your parents…Well, you know what I’m saying.”


Lyle laughed. “I do. I decided to call Warner Father, and Felicia Mother, to keep them separate from Mom and Dad.”


“Do you like them?” Elaine asked. “I mean, are you glad they’re your, what, new family?”


“I do, and I am. They’re good people. For being as rich as they are, they’re very down to earth. It took me a bit to accept they reallywere my parents, too, but yeah, I’m happy they are.”
