The skinny male sighed and seemed to be debating in his head the pros and cons of answering. The silence stretched for a second too long to be comfortable and Jessie started opening her mouth to answer instead when William spoke up. What he said froze the blood in Jasper’s veins.
“It doesn’t matter. He doesn’t want to see you.”

The drive home was painfully silent and seemed longer than usual. Everyone was lost in their thoughts, trying to take in the last forty-eight hours of emotions. Jasper remained silent even as the slow conversation started, his friends asking about the hotel, how they found them, and other non-wedding or non-Liam things. Less than two hours later, they were at Liam and Jasper’s rented place.
