He never wanted to become like her, but he also never checked for the symptoms or went to the doctor so he could minimize the possibility. “Thank god.” Jasper breathed heavily, then pulled Liam into a bear hug, although he quickly clarified. “Not about your grandmother, it’s terrible what happened to her, but I’m so glad you don’t hate me.”


“I could never hate you. I’m so sorry I let it happen. I promise I’ll go to the doctor as soon as possible and try to handle it,” Liam said in a rush, clinging to the other as if he was his lifeline.


“It’s not your fault. None of it is. I was just worried,” Jasper said. He petted his hair gently and laid them slowly on the bed, side to side.
