Nowadays, Liam was anything but.
Minutes later, Jasper opened the door to his own flat. The lights were off, but the TV was on. Liam couldn’t sleep well nowadays, sometimes for days at a time, and especially when Jasper was away. He made his way into the living room but got no reaction from his wide awake boyfriend. He coughed to get his attention but got no response.
“Liam,” Jasper said with much more force than necessary, but he was too exhausted and miserable to be playing games. “I’m going to visit my aunt tomorrow.”
“Okay,” Liam replied but made no further attempts at talking to him.
Jasper felt his feathers bristle with fury. He tried to hold it in. He truly did. Why couldn’t Liam be like Daniel, so nice and unproblematic?
