Chapter 37

Eli didn’t know, but he suspected Jaecar allowed his panther to decide on the course of action, and then his human side decided if it was the right thing to do legally. There were no hurt feelings, but the need following Jaecar wherever he went throbbed in the background.

It was increasing. Eli tried to ignore it, but the need grew more and more savage for each hour passing, and he had no idea how to handle it. Jaecar was hot, if a bit too dangerous. He knew sex could be good, he’d enjoyed it before he met Varg, but he couldn’t…he couldn’t.

He allowed Jaecar’s emotions to course through him. He couldn’t hear him speak or move around, but there was an ebb and flow of emotions. Eli never found peace in other people’s emotions, but there was something soothing in how Jaecar never exploded the way Varg had. There were no volcanic eruptions, only various stages of frustration, anger, worry, but also joy. He liked what he did.
