The drive home was lonely. Finn didn’t listen to the radio or plug in his own music. With it being Monday after six, the traffic was light, and so Finn’s mind began to wander. He recounted every outing between Ethan and himself. They’d tried to be as careful as possible, but had he been failing? Those times he chanced to hold Ethan’s hand under the table, were there pictures of that? Coming back from the store, had Finn been followed to Ethan’s house? Were people like Perez Hilton waiting for the right opportunity to pounce on poor Ethan’s love life? Was every second spent together going to be slapped in their face for the world to see? The longer Finn drove, the more he thought, and the heavier his heart grew.
