Chapter 56

It took everything he had to not throw open the door and run inside. Julian insisted that he drop Finn off instead of lingering. Finn didn’t seem to mind. As Julian made his leave, Finn took a quick glance around the house. There were no hidden cameras, thankfully, and so he made his way to the front door. It was cracked slightly, and Finn stepped inside.

“Hello?” His mouth salivated at the smell of roasting turkey. Oscar, as per usual, greeted him first. Finn bent down to stroke his fluffy, brown coat. “Hello Oscar! Missed me yet?”

“Mrrow!”

“Is that Finn?” Nik popped his head out from the kitchen. “Hey! Ethan’s chained to the stove right now. Happy Thanksgiving.”

“Happy Thanksgiving.” He walked deeper in, and Nik offered him a glass of wine. “Is Ethan’s mom coming, too?”

“She’s with my grandma today.” Ethan shut the fridge, smiling over a mixing bowl. Leaning in, he gave Finn a sweet kiss. “Hey. How was Julian’s place?”
