Chapter 57

After their feast, Finn felt like a walking parade float, and he and Ethan kept company in the living room while Nik elected to do the dishes. Ethan stretched himself on the couch, relaxing after a hard day’s work. Finn laid himself beside him, comfortable against his chest. Ethan smiled, eyes closed, and looped his arm around his waist.

“So. Did you like dinner?”

“It was perfect.” Finn nuzzled his face into Ethan’s neck. “You really are amazing.”

“Amazing…I wouldn’t say that.” He ran his hand up and down Finn’s arm. “But I think I have the hang of this cooking thing.” The pair of them fell into comfortable silence for a while. Ethan’s hand, having raised from Finn’s arm, went to his hair. He tangled his fingers playfully through it. “I’m glad you enjoyed it. I was worried about the potatoes.”

“They came out great. My favorite part was the turkey, though.”

“Really?”

“Well. And the cranberries. But I love Thanksgiving cranberries.”
