“I have to go.” Jules motioned at the kids waiting with their teacher for Jules to address them.
“Of course.”
“Smooth.” Logan chuckled and shook his head.
“What?”
“You only want to talk about the book? You have a hard-on right now, don’t you?”
Nix was saved from answering by Jenny emerging from behind the bookshelf. “Has he gone?”
Nix watched as Jules led the group into the room with the glass wall. “Yeah.”
“You never spoke to me.” She narrowed her eyes and pointed her finger at him. Damn, the woman was insane 14
Jules patted Booksy, who glared at him and swished his tail. “I know, bud. But we can’t see him two days in a row. It’s too much.”
He didn’t regret not having coffee with Nix tonight. He didn’t. But it would’ve been nice to have it out of the way.

SexyDoornail69: What are you reading?
Jules smiled and sat on the sofa.
ReadingInACorner: Nothing at the moment. I’m waiting for you.
