Raine certainly inspired people to do double-takes, and was wonderfully attractive in a way that seemed to appeal to a wide variety of the population of downtown Seattle, or at least the proportion that passed through Uncommon Grounds. So that part was probably true, too.

Raine was decidedly not pixie-sized. That exaggeration was mostly a joke, but supposedly most Cupids weren’t terribly tall; Don couldn’t confirm, having only met the one. Raine was, yes, a few inches shorter than Don himself, but then again most people were; that didn’t mean much, and Raine was, in fact, exactly the height that could carry off luscious and expensive suits with inarguable perfection.
