Chapter 10

“But it’s not why you’re angry.”

“I’m not angry.”

“Kace…”

“I’m not!” He forced himself to take a deep breath and plaster on a smile. “I’m stressed. I start work in an hour and a half, we still have about forty-five minutes to drive, and I need to shower, change, and preferably grab a sandwich or something.”

Luke nodded. “Sorry. I’d hoped it’d go faster to sign the papers.”

Kace slumped in his seat. “It’s okay. I’ll make it in time, no worries.” The worry was how his dick didn’t want to cooperate. Everything would be fine once he got to work. There he wouldn’t have time to think about Luke.

They made good time, and despite the traffic thickening close to the city, it flowed.

“I’ll drop you off by the bank.”

Luke nodded.

“Do you have the car key?”

He patted his pockets and shook his head.

“I won’t drop you off by the bank then.”
