“Let’s drop by Maria’s and see how she and Massimo are doing,” said Sandro. “I’m sure she would like to see you again, Dominic. And Massimo was in love with you.”


“Yeah, let’s do that,” said Dominic enthusiastically. “I would love to see them both.”


Maria answered the door quickly and smiled from ear to ear. “Sandro! It is wonderful to see you! And Dominic! You are back!”


“Yes, I just had to come back. Couldn’t stay away from this guy,” said Dominic, putting his arm around Sandro. There was no need for them to keep anything secret. Their happiness in being together was written all over their faces. They knew Maria knew about their relationship.


“So how long have you been back, Dominic?” Maria asked as she ushered them into the apartment.


“Almost a week.” He smiled, still with his arm around Sandro.
