From Behind that Locked Door

Cillian found two more lifeless bodies before he located another survivor. A woman sat upright next to the wall, but she was unconscious and had a head wound. Cillian applied pressure to it. He called back to the crowd. “I need help in here!”


Several men braved the scene. One threw up as soon as he saw the corpses, but the others came to Cillian’s aid. “What do you need?” asked the biggest one.


A stretcher would have been ideal, but he thought the room was too dangerous to wait. And he had no idea if Zoe even knew what was going on. “I need you to carry this woman to the medical center.” He took off his undershirt and tied it around her head. “Be careful with her neck. Make sure it’s supported.”
