Chapter 6

Oliver had a very straight forward process when writing for a client. He’d work everything out beforehand with research and by creating a detailed outline. When he would sit down to write, he’d set a timer, and then write, sticking close to his plan.

Today he had a paid project to begin writing. A simple politics for beginnerspiece that would touch on critical thinking and the impartial resources available to anyone hoping for a better understanding of issues. He’d done all the research, had mapped out his writing plan, now he just had to write it. But between the strange room, the poor night’s sleep, and stress of his life burning to the ground, he just couldn’t concentrate.

Instead of staring at a blank page, he closed the document and brought up another. This one, the beginnings of a story about Arthur Davis, a man struggling to undo the mistakes of his past in hopes of rewriting his future.
