“I guess you wanted to give them some privacy, too, then?” His voice annoyed him with how squeaky it suddenly sounded, but Rowan watched him like he was ready to shift on the spot and pounce.

“I was thinking about what you said to Will.” When Rowan finally stopped, it was to crowd Alec against the sink, towering over him in the same dominant stance he’d taken back in DC. Their thighs brushed against each other, but it was the way his gaze ducked to stare at Alec’s mouth that sent adrenaline surging through his veins. “About no regrets.”

“I don’t have any,” Alec said. “Today’s been everything I could’ve wanted.”

“I do,” Rowan murmured.
