“I’m here, Nate,” Zeke whispered as he wrapped an arm around Nate’s waist, pressing Nate’s back to his chest, nuzzling into the back of Nate’s neck. “Those SOBs might want to take you away from the people who love you just to prove to everyone that you’re crazy. But we both know you are very much sane.” He breathed in Nate’s scent. Thanks to those guys, Nate reeked of hospital and sickness again. His skin was damp with sweat. Zeke lifted the hem of his T-shirt and dabbed it gently. Done with the simple task, Zeke snuggled back into Nate and began to drift off.


The blue eyes that met him when he opened his were as clear and blue as the clearest sky and the deepest ocean. They were also the most intense Zeke had ever seen. He blinked. “Nate, you’re awake?”
