They slowly parted and Zeke patted Nate’s shoulder. “So, what do you want again, Chinese or steaks?”

This was the best day in Zeke’s life. He’d just had a date, the first date, with Nate. He couldn’t stop grinning like a loon.

“What’s wrong with you?”

Nate’s question shook him out of his reverie. “What’s wrong with me?”

“Look at you. You haven’t talked since we left the restaurant. You’re grinning to yourself, and look at your eyes.”

“My eyes? What about my eyes?”

“They were sometimes lost to places I bet only you know. Talk to me, Zeke.”

“If everything was wrong with the world, I know one thing that is right and it’s you.”

Nate blushed adorably and ducked his head. “You are too good to me.”
