The simplest example? Grant made a point of calling Craig by his name. Of course, it was easy when all Grant had to do was look at the tag on his shirt, but most customers wouldn’t even make that kind of effort.

After taking Grant’s drink order today, Craig had practically floated back to the kitchen. All because Grant had called him by name. But it was what came after that made today a special standout.

He had picked out the freshest lemon wedge for Grant’s glass of iced tea and made sure to give an extra shot of syrup to the raspberry lemonade ordered by Grant’s guest when Tony had walked up behind him at the drink station.

“So, what’s up with you and Weather Guy?”

“W-what?” Craig had stuttered, afraid his crush on Grant had somehow become noticeable to the rest of the world.
