Driada rubbed the back of her neck. “My apologies, I didn’t mean to offend you. Of course, you’re right. Not everyone needs to fight with a sword.” She creased her brow. “How do you fight, if not with a sword?”

Thea looked away and laughed. “How do you think?”

“I think you fight with that sharp tongue of yours.”

Thea looked back to her. “I do nothave a sharp tongue!”

“Your comments about fighting say otherwise.” Driada laughed. “You know, if you’re trying to look like a commoner, you could really use better clothing.”

Thea looked down at her white linen robe, shadowed by her cloak. “I don’t know what you mean.”

“You chose plain-looking clothing, but it is far too fine a material to ever pass as something a commoner would ever purchase.” Driada winked. “You’ll need to put more effort into your disguises to fool me.”

“Oh.” Thea pulled at the edge of her robe. “I suppose you’re right.”
