A crash sounded from the next room.

“Where is she?” Thea yelled.

I would not be surprised if the entire palace could hear her wailing.Marcus clenched his hands into fists. “If we don’t act now, the next thing she breaks may not be a vase. Take me to the queen.”

“Right now?”

“Yes, now.”

Demetrius reached for the rope in his pouch. He tied Marcus’ wrists together. “So she doesn’t have a fit seeing you walking around unbound,” he explained.

“Fine, let’s just get on with it.”
