Tristan threw the door open. “Hey—2rdquo; His voice caught in his throat and his eyes bulged.

“Hi, babe.” Paul gave him the kind of smile that used to make him melt. “Merry Christmas.” He held up a little bunch of mistletoe with a red ribbon around it and stepped closer to Tristan.

“What the hell are you doing?” Fire coursed through Tristan’s veins.

“Oh, come on, Tristan. Isn’t it time to put everything behind us? I made a mistake, I know that, but we were married. Can’t we at least have a civil conversation?”

Tristan stared at Paul. “Conversation doesn’t include kissing.”
