To Never Trust

"I'm sorry," Iorwerth suddenly murmured, stealing back Ercilia's attention.

That took her by surprise. It's probably the first time she heard him apologize with a sincere-looking expression and genuine-sounding tone. This could really be her chance.

Even if it's little by little, she has to break his walls. Pretending to be fragile and delicate sickens her to the core, but if it's the only way to make him lower his guard around her, she'll willingly put on that act whenever needed. He will eventually show his strongest weakness, and she will definitely make sure that it will turn it into his ultimate downfall.

With all these thoughts in mind, Ercilia joins him and kneels down too. Stretching out a hand, she then makes a show of wiping away Iorwerth's tears.

"What are you sorry for, darling?" she asked, voice like that of an angel.

"I scared you," he muttered with a frown, and she made a brief pause.
