Any noise they hear they automatically assume is the opening of the door or the sound of their pursuers racing down the hall. 

But that's probably a good thing, Ercilia guessed. The hyper-aware twitchiness keeps them alive, after all.

The telephone beeps once more, the sound becoming increasingly annoying to Meir's ears – more Morse code. Almost scarily fast, Ercilia translates it out loud, "Alright. He says we need to find the files for each of the trackers and put in the password to disable them."

"Sounds easy enough," Gunther said. 

"I'll go get the files," Ethan chimed in. 

She nods even though she knows it wouldn't be that simple. Nothing in her life has ever gone simple.

Meir squeezes her hand, reminding her she's not alone. Ercilia turns to him, a smile slowly forming on her face, which he earnestly gives back.
