The Lieutenant General stared back, smirking at the Private before moving his gaze towards Samuel.

"What will you do, Samuel?" Bradley asked with an ever-growing smirk. "Kill him with a single bullet, or watch him get roasted slowly and slowly?"

Samuel stared directly into Private Joshua's eyes, trying to extract an answer from him. But Private Joshua quickly diverted his eyes away from the child's, feeling different indescribable emotions that zipped his mouth shut.

Samuel whimpered in frustration, not knowing what to do. Private Joshua couldn't take the sight of the amount of pressure exerted on the child for such a thing. Even though he wanted to live, he couldn't bear to see this child suffer any longer.

"Samuel…" Private Joshua called the child one last time, attaining his attention completely, he raised both of his hands to grab the child's trembling hands. "It's okay."
