DAY 2 - Caffeine

Samuel opened his eyes, still lying on the bed thinking about everything that had occurred yesterday. He had hung out with Hertwig for the entire day, yet everything was crumbling, and it felt empty.

He hadn't slept again, nor had he tried to sleep. He stood up from his bed to freshen up. He then walked to the kitchen to brew his morning coffee.

While the kettle whistled as the water was boiling, Samuel dwelled deep inside his thoughts. He had been calculating his remaining time. Though he was given three whole days to go back to his military position, he still had to leave earlier to be as punctual as he could. One second late and Bradley would eat him up on the spot. Samuel wanted to take it easy, for which he would have to obey Bradley's orders sufficiently.
