The more they read the journal, the harder it got to continue. Bradley's true feelings were truly gut-wrenching.

"Is this how you feel, too?" Nancy asked Samuel, laying flat on the ground beside him, watching the ceiling with him.

Samuel nodded, "This is exactly how I feel," He said in a wavering voice.

"You felt like this when you stood on that witness stand?" Nancy asked with concern.

"Hmm," Samuel replied softly.

The journal was left open between them. The pages they had read about Bradley's feelings made them numb. There were more pages to the journal, but the fear of knowing more crept upon them.
