Maria Montero.

That's where it's all started. When Romano didn't kill her with her husband sixteen years ago.

And now she's out for blood. An eye for an eye, and an ear for an ear, while she's out to get the whole body as a token to calm her raging broken soul.

Her kid is all grown up, and after all these years of teaching him nothing but hatred and revenge for the Montero family, he is amped up ready for war.

And when she finally gets what she wants, things get twisted, mistakes are made and people gradually die. 

And Kalani now has to put on some big girl pants because somebody she once helped escape death is now out to get her family and this time, she's not giving out any second chances because what she loves most is being threaten.

You gonna go with Felix honey." Montero looked at me. 


"He will keep you safe, protect you with his life. But I need you to trust him ok?" I just nodded, seemingly unaware of what was happening. I vaguely heard him telling me that I was going with Felix and Eva, but still, I want to register it. 


Montero called Eva and she quickly came over. 


"Protect them with your life, please." He begged. 


"Always." She patted his shoulder, leaving me with the guys who were now gathered around the family table ready for the action plan. 


"Kalani, you hear me, honey?" Montero asked. 


I just looked at him and I blinked. How was he here? Why was he here? Why was I here, again?? 


Didn't I leave this house with Felix and the children, and Montero went with dad? I shook my head again to try and level my grounding. 


Montero saw that I wasn't responsive, so he pulled me by his side and asked again.
