The Hunt for Mora

Sorina's suspicions of the shadow she witnessed earlier were confirmed when the soldiers couldn't find Mora in the castle. Mora had slipped away in the chaos and escaped into the nearby woods. A search party meant to track her down had already been organized before the ashes of the former king cooled.

When they couldn't find Mora the first night, the soldiers regrouped in the village center to devise a plan. General Codrin felt the matter was urgent enough that he sent a small group of soldiers back to the capitol to gather more troops for the hunt. Another group of soldiers were ordered to remain in the village and act as guards in the event Mora tried to make her way back to the castle. Everyone else was organized into search parties to comb the surrounding wilderness.
