Corruption Hits Where It Hurts the Most (1)

Elior woke up to find the boat empty. Inari was not there. Right, she left before he went to sleep. The sun almost hovered in the middle of the sky, reminding Elior that he slept more than he planned for. At least a couple of hours more. He groaned and sat upright. His mind was still buzzing with some whispers, but he ignored them like he did for the last week.

"You have to do better," he muttered, looking at the yellow sun. "If you want to break me."

These were all the effects of not wearing the suit. He had fixed the damaged one, the one he got from Inari, but he had no intention of wearing that one. Not just because the corruption was a very finite way to challenge and train spirit, but because he had some hidden agenda in it. Moreover, he was looking forward to seeing how far he could go on.
