Chapter seven:
Ja-ni stepped into the shadowy hall's, whisper's surrounding her. She knew they were meant to scare her, but they didn't. She had no fear. She whipped out her double bladed red lightsaber and slid her thumb on the activator, her senses on high alert. Ja-ni approached the main room slowly, the dull green light illuminating her path. Booming voices were suddenly heard.
These madmen are worthless to the Emperor! Well it was your idea not mine! You said this would draw out the child, where do you two think she is now?! Probably among them! No, no, no, you three are fool's, the Emperor's child can't fall to this curse! Said the booming voices.
Ja-ni listened for a while longer then stepped out from the shadows of the thrones she had hid behind and extended her arms. My Lord's! I was sent by the Jedi Council of the Empire for a holocron. Replied Ja-ni. One looked at her and chuckled. Well, here she is! Vitate's heir! Said the booming voices. Ja-ni stepped back, surprised at this statement.
My Lord I'm afraid you are mistaken. I am a daughter of Cordo and Sari Xander, slave's, I have no connection to Emperor Vitate. Replied Ja-ni. Suddenly a fifth figure appeared in front of her, atop of a giant, dark throne. Emperor Vitate, Dark Lord of all Sith. My child, your bloodline is mine. Centuries ago I took a mortal woman as my bride. She bore a child, then died. My grief was overwhelming, and I forshook the line, for it was cursed with death. It seems you are my heir. Said Emperor Vitate. Ja-ni ran her hand through her long brown hair and blew out, barely able to wrap her mind around this. Vitate, tossed her the holocron and smiled. You have a task at hand, but I will speak with you soon, my child. Said Emperor Vitate. Ja-ni nodded and bowed, then quickly left the temple. As she sped towards the city, she peered at the holocron, mulling over what happened in her mind.
