Chapter Thirty two Expensive cars

Kayla was on the phone with her gangster dude Brandon when her doorbell rang. Ending the call she walked towards the door and opening it saw Martin standing there. "What are you doing here?" she asks harshly. "I'm here to talk some sense into you." He drawled stepping past her. "Talk some sense into me; about what?" She asks annoyed. "About Tyler of course, why the hell would you even think of going back to that self-righteous bastard?"

Kayla placed her hands on her hips, narrowed her eyes, and glared at him. "Are you serious right now? You came all the way over here to ask me why I would go back to the man I love?"

"love?' He asks scornfully. "How can you love a man that forced you to kill your unborn child Kayla? Or have you conveniently forgotten about that?"

"Is that what this is about? That's ancient history Martin. So you need to just shut your mouth about that. You weren't even supposed to know anything about that." She said angrily.

"Tyler told me not to say anything to anyone; no one is supposed to know, but since he was in Japan at the time I confide in you and Susan and that was obviously a very big mistake."

"A mistake Kayla, really? You were a wreak when you came to my house that morning. You were crying so hard you could hardly speak and now you're standing here acting like it was no big deal?" Martin throws his hands in the air in frustration.

"I saw what that decision did to you, Kayla. It destroyed you. Why are you going back to him? He doesn't deserve you girl." Kayla rolled her eyes and snorts in disgust. "What are you talking about Martin; I'm the one that doesn't deserve him. After everything I did to him, he still wants to be with me and no one is going to stand in our way.'

"Wow, you can't be serious." "But I am and as for those little comments that you've been making at work; you need to quit that because Tyler begged me not to talk to anyone about our problems and if he found out that I told you or Susan; I could lose him for good this time.' She said angrily and stormed towards the kitchen.

But Martin followed her. 'Please for the last time just shut your mouth and back off.' She ordered taking a bottle of juice from the fridge. This is my life and I'll live it the way I damn well choose.'

Martin ran his hands over his face; move towards her and place his hands on her shoulders. "I care about you Kay and I really don't want you to go back to him. He's only going to hurt you again. You're asking me to look the other way and pretend that he didn't order you to do something that you obviously didn't want to and I can't Kayla, I just can't.' He said caressing her cheek.

Kayla jerked away and turned her back to him. "Concentrate on your wife and kids Martin and stay the hell out of my business. I love Tyler and he's the one I want to spend the rest of my life with." "Last I heard you seem to have some competition; I think the name Janice came up." "Who the fuck is Janice?" She demands.

"I don't know but Ty surely does." He said. "No one is going to take Ty from me; you hear that, no one! This conversation is over Martin. Now please leave! I need to get ready for my date with my future husband." "Fine, but don't say I didn't warn you."

Janice smiled to herself as she walked through the house, and like she had done about five times in the last few days she began from the top floor. She had spent two weeks in this house without knowing just how massive it was, but that was before Tyler and Anna had given her the grand tour when she was able to move around without wincing.

Faith was now two months old, healthy, and packing on the pounds and Tyler couldn't get enough of her. His home was three stories high with long white balconies and white wooden staircases. There was a gym, a game room with a big pool table, a play station game like she saw on T.V which was hooked up to a massive flat-screen T.V. A virtual bike game which she notices was Caleb's favorite, and a lot of other games for the rest of the family even games for the little ones in the family.

At one point Ty had turned on the bike game so she could see just how real it was. Anna had then told her how Caleb was always dashing in and out of cars and taking back roads and a lot of other cool stuff.

And just yesterday she was clutching her throat and covering her eyes as Caleb did a lot of dangerous stunts on his real bike outside in the driveway. There was also a big library with tons of books for all ages but she was mostly interested in the medical ones that Tyler said she could read. There was also a big study where Mr. Jackson does most of his work.

The second floor was consists of mostly large bedrooms, nine to be exact each with its own bathroom and each of those bathrooms came with a big enough hot tub to fit at least two or three people and a shower stall.

Even her room had one and it was divine; there was a nursery, a playroom with lots of toys, and a reading room that overlook the garden and the entire lawn which was incredibly beautiful. Their gardener came three times a week and he always did an amazing job. She would sometimes watch him from the reading room but she didn't let him see her, he could be one of Leon's many friends for all she knew.

She had also noticed that each of the bedrooms was designed to suit the owner's taste. Anna's room was bright pink; Fabian's room was ocean blue just like hers. Caleb's room was dark brown with splashes of red just like his mood, Tyler's room was pure white with splashes of light yellow here and there, and their parent's room was light green, she has only been in there about two times so far.

All the furniture, drapes, and decorations in the rooms were designed to complement the color of the walls and they were all very exquisite and expensive. The third and second story floor was covered with brown wood that was so shine it glistened in the sunlight and Anna and her little cousins usually put on socks and slide across it.

The ground floor where the family spends most of their time wasn't brown wood but cream tiles with brown stripes. It had a large dining room with a massive crystal chandelier hanging over the table. A table that no matter how busy the family was they would all gather here every Sunday evening for dinner where they would take turns filling in the other about their week.

She always found their stories very entertaining especially Ty's. There was also a big living room which had another large flat screen and also an extremely large circular sofa that could fit all the family members and then some.

There were also other small armchairs for visitors and bean bags for the kids. Then there was the kitchen. She really didn't know how to describe the kitchen because it was so big and complex, designed to accommodate all of Mrs. Jackson's cooking and baking equipment.

It had two of the biggest refrigerators she had ever seen plus a big deep freeze for all the meats, a tall glass cooler for drinks and water and so many other appliances that it was going to take her a while to figure out what each of them was for, and then to compliment the whole thing was the beautiful brown marble counter in the middle of it and to go with the counter brown drawers and stools.

Also on the ground floor, there was a sitting room that also had a beautiful view of the garden and the driveway, which was where she spends most of her evenings watching and waiting for Tyler to come home.

Then there was Miss. Mona's room, two powder rooms, the wash room, two pantries one for the food items and one for the cleaning products, and tons of elegant furniture and antique carvings and paintings.

There was so much to see and explore that it was going to take a while for her mind to process it all. She felt like she was in real-life rags to riches story, where the characters went from being dirt poor to living in a massive mansion. She was extremely grateful to Tyler for saving her life that night and very grateful for the fact that his family welcome her into their home.

There was no way she could ever repay them for all they had done and was still doing for her and her life would be absolutely perfect right now if she thought that she had a chance to marry the man that saved her and her daughter's life and if Leon wasn't out there somewhere looking for her to kill her and her child. She smiled as she saw Mrs. Jackson drive in through the gate; her mind then shift from her impending dilemma to the exquisite vehicles that these people drove.

Mr. Jackson drove a big black PAJERO v6. Mrs. Jackson drove a silver Prado Land Cruiser and Tyler drove a white one, of course, his car would be white. Fabian drove a Honda Ridge Line.

Caleb who was into muscle cars drove a Lincoln Navigator which was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen on wheels and then there was the big black SUV with the bulletproof windows which they use for special occasions, Mrs. Jackson also owned a big white van which she used to deliver her products; so many cars. This family's lifestyle screams riches

And even though Tatiana was still in driving school her parents had already bought her a Honda C.R.V for her seventeenth birthday. Janice had remembered seeing her brothers taking her for drives in it and soon Anna would be able to drive it herself. She often wondered if she had the guts to drive one of these cars, the debate was still out on that, she probably wouldn't even be able to move it from where it was parked.
