Chapter fifty three over and done

He was so consumed with becoming the best doctor and a father that he was totally blinded by what was going on around him.

But not anymore, he was going to take back control of his life, without getting angry: one day at a time, smooth, steady, and calm was now his motto of getting his life back, starting now, he thought taking a deep shuddering breath, then wiping away his tears he took a long drink from his water bottle, turn the key in the ignition and pulled out of the parking lot.

Even though Janice had told him that they couldn't be together that didn't stop him from buying her a bunch of red roses, Chocolates, and a big Teddy bear. At one point he thought that she wouldn't accept them but not only did she accept them, she also gave him a big hug and a kiss and a smile that made him want her even more.

Later that night his dad enters his room and demands an explanation about their bold display of affection and to keep from going into details at least for now, he told his dad that it was a thank you for the gifts he gave her.

He spend the rest of the week getting up to date with his Advance Medical training and the papers for his two buses, he also paid a contractor to begin the construction that would transform Mrs. Watson's broken down board house into a two-bedroom concrete one and also doing some hardcore studying on rare illnesses, all while doing everything he possibly could to avoid Janice's room especially at night so he wouldn't be tempted to rip her clothes off but it was a lot harder than he thought it would be because they seem to be automatically drawn to each other.

Ty was smiling to himself as he steps from his vehicle, he remember how Faith had clung to him as he was getting ready to leave and the fact that he had to put his bag down and spend a few more minutes with her, he then remember the tender way Janice hug him when she said goodbye. He was taking his bag from the passenger's seat when he heard a familiar voice behind him.

"Hi baby," He could feel every muscle in his body tighten as he turn to face her. "Ty baby I know you're angry with me but you can't kick me out of our home, you just can't, please don't kick me out." She pleads. "He turns away from her closes his car door and was about to walk away but she steps in front of him. "Ty please…..I…" He held up his hand to stop her from continuing her sentence. "I spend five years of my life trying to make you happy, trying to have a family with you, all I wanted was to marry you and for you to have my child and for us to spend the rest of our lives together." He stops took a deep breath then continues.

"And for five years you've been taking me for granted, you've even managed to put me in a coma for days and I refuse to waste one more minute of my time with you. You see the thing is cheating I could deal with, cheating I could live with but taking the life of an innocent child Kay is the final straw for me and even though that child's death is going to haunt me for the rest of my life, just know that I forgive you for all you've done to me." He said firmly. "I'm not going to waste another minute being angry at you, we're over, I don't ever want to see you again." Kayla pouts her lips and put on her wounded puppy face that she use to get her way with him at all times.

"Please give me another chance Ty please, I love you, I can't survive without you." She cried. "Stop," He sneered. "That's never going to happen, I want you out of my house, you can take whatever you want from it, just get out. You've seventy days left to vacate my house and if you don't then I'll have bailiff put you out, so I suggest you stop wasting my time and go find somewhere else to live." He said and took a few steps then stops and turns back to her. "And if you damage any part of my house, I'll put your ass in prison; now get the hell out of my sight." He snaps coldly and storms away from her.

Kayla leaned against his vehicle with tears in her eyes as she watched him walk away from her and out of her life; was it her imagination or did he gain weight? His hair was longer, looks like he didn't cut it since he left the hospital and his skin was glowing in the sun, damn he looks good and he was still hers; there was no way she was going to let him walk out of her life for good and if that bitch from the hospital thought she was going to get her hands on him she better think again. Over her dead body. Sighing heavily she pushes herself off his vehicle and was about to leave when she saw Jessica walking towards her. Jessica sucks her teeth and was about to walk past her but Kayla's harsh words stop her.

"I heard your house burn down, too bad you weren't trapped inside but at least now you can crawl back under the slimy rock that you came from," Kayla said with a nasty chuckle. But Jessica just smile at her as the perfect words come to her that she knew would wipe the smile off Kayla's face.

"Oh that won't be necessary, however, I'll admit that it would have been difficult for Chad and me to find somewhere else to live on such short notice but thanks to T.J we don't have to worry about that." Jessica gloats. "Let me guess, you asks him to buy one for you and he just couldn't say no.?" Kayla asks rolling her eyes. "Not quite, you see, his father bought him a four-bedroom house as a wedding present, and since he won't be needing it anymore and just being near it reminds him of you, which he really doesn't need right now seeing as though he's moving on with Janice, he decides to give it to me, wasn't that sweet of him."

"You're lying! You're only saying that to hurt me. If there was a house Ty would've told me about it and he still loves me so there's no way he would go near that ugly bitch." Kayla fumes but Jessica just laughs and shakes her head. "Wrong again, but if you don't believe me asks T.J." "I can't believe his dad bought us a house but why didn't they tell me about it?" "Because it was supposed to be a surprise you fool, too bad you won't put a foot in it but I for one couldn't be happier that you're out of his life, good riddance to you, now he can be with a real woman." Jessica smiles with satisfaction and walks away as she saw the shock and disappointment on Kayla's face.
