Scott leans against a wall facing the parking lot. His friends thought he was there because he wanted to hear how their weekend went but in his mind, he was there because he was looking for Jasmine. It bothered him the entire weekend that he didn't ask her for her number on Friday. He had no idea how she got to school and he couldn't wait to find out.
His friends were arguing about which Mortal Kombat avatar was the best when he saw a black Audi pull into the parking lot and she got out. A lady whine down the glass and said something to her before she walks away and the lady drive off.
He told his friends he would catch up with them later and walk toward her. "Happy Monday." He said with a smile. "Hi Beck, how's it going?" She asks also with a smile. "Did you know that was actually my nickname?" He asks.
"It is?" "Yep and you can already guess why." He said laughing. "But before I forget, your number please." He said handing her his phone. "Samsung Galaxy S4 nice." She said admiring his phone.
"What kind do you have?" He asks. "I have an S5." She said showing him hers. "Wow, this's awesome." He said in awe as she gave him back his phone. He then dials her number, she looks at her phone and smile at him. "Now save my number." He said as the bell rings.
"See you at lunch." He said running in the direction of his locker.

When the bell rings for lunch Jasmine put her books in her bag and made her way out of the class. Scott said he would see her at lunch but how was she supposed to find him in this sea of students.
She was about to make her way down the corridor when she saw him leaning against the wall scanning through a book he had in his hand.
"Hi." She said stopping next to him. "Oh there you are, I was waiting for you, come on let's go get lunch." He said leading the way down the corridor and towards the canteen.
They got their lunch and found a seat at a table next to his friends. "And who is this?" One of his friends asks. "My new friend Jasmine, Jasmine these are my friends."
"A seventh grader?" Another one asks in surprise. "You're not serious?" Still another one said. "Hi, Scott." A girl said hugging him from behind as she place her tray on the table.
"Why is this child in my seat?" She asks glaring at Jasmine. "Oh, she's Beck's new friend." One of them said laughing. "Excuse me, friend, with a seventh grader, yeah right, please leave." She said waving Jasmine off.
Jasmine made a move to leave but Scott place a hand over hers stopping her. "Do you guys have a problem with me being friends with this girl?" He asks. "Yeah I mean a seven grader sitting with ninth graders, kind of cramps our style dawg." One said.
"Alright, then we'll go sit someplace else, see you guys later." He said getting up, Jasmine also got up and they walk away together.
"Scott wait, you're not seriously leaving with that child? What exactly is going on here?" She demands. "I'm making a choice to go sit someplace else with her; you have a problem with that too?" He asks. "Of course I do, now send her away and come back and sit with us." She said hands on her hips. "Later Andrea." He said walking away.
"You're in nine grade?" She asks. "Yep is that a problem?" "Why would you want to be friends with a seventh grader, I'm not even qualified as a teenager yet." "I'm only two years older than you, we're both kids Jazzy and we both attend the same school so why can't we be friends."
"Well, when you put it like that I guess it's okay but your friends don't seem to like me much." "They don't have to, I like you." He said throwing a fry at her. "Hey what was that for?" She asks laughing. "So is that girl your girlfriend?" She asks. "Nope, I don't have a girlfriend, it's against my religion." "What religion are you?" She asks.
"I'm a Seventh Day Adventist." He said with pride. "I'm an Apostolic." She said also with pride." "Cool so we're both children of God, now I like you even more." He laughs. "Oh, there's the bell let me walk you to your next class." He said getting up and helping her up.
