Chapter 102 Driving me crazy

Ty was sitting in the canteen of his workplace going through one of his big medical books when he saw Mrs. Watson walking towards him. Yes, her daughter had put him through hell but why did her mother and son have to suffer for her actions.

No that wouldn't be fair to either of them after all they did nothing to him, they were innocent. No matter how many times he had reassured her that he held no ill feelings towards her or the child that didn't stop her from feeling awkward around him and from the sheepish smile on her face right now he knew that still hadn't changed.

"Hi Mrs. Watson, hi Tyrone." He said with a warm smile when she sat down. "Daddy." The child said stretching for him. "Come here big boy, I miss you." He said hugging the child. "Maybe we should stop him from doing that, it can't be easy for you to hear him calling you that." She said in an embarrassed tone.

"You'll do no such thing, I told you, I'll tell him the truth when the time is right. Actually, I was hoping I could spend more time with him since I'll be traveling soon for my training." "Oh, that shouldn't be a problem." She said handing the child a feeding bottle of juice.

"So how was his check-up, everything alright?" he asks. "Oh yes, clean bill of health, and his appetite is increasing." She laughs. "Wonderful that's what I like to hear. How are the girls?" "They're great doing well in school, here are their last reports." She said handing him an envelope. "Okay, I'll look over them later."

"So how's the lady I got to help you out?" He asks. "Oh, she's a God send, lovely young lady and very respectful. We get along great." She said. "Good, I order a few things from the supermarket which should be arriving at around four this afternoon so you can tell her to look out for the van." He said playing with Tyrone.

"You're doing so much for us that I don't know how to thank you." She said her head down. "Hey, just the fact that you're all happy and healthy is all the thanks I need." He said touching her hand.

He saw a sadness cross her face but she quickly turn away from him to hide it. "Hey don't do that, yes things at home are fine but I know you're still worried about her." He said in a sympathetic tone.

"Don't worry about me, I'll be okay." She said with a weak smile. "You won't be okay until you know she's okay." He states. "What's the latest from the private detective?" He asks.

"Well turns out a man was in the club around the same time she went missing offering women money to spend the weekend with him and it looks as if my daughter might have taken him up on his offer. No one knows him or where he's from. The trail has gone cold for now." She said tears in her eyes.

"Hey don't give up, prayer changes everything, one way or another with God's help we'll find her." "It's the not knowing that's driving me crazy." "I know." He said softly.

"Oh yeah and Trisha has disappeared with everything that Kayla left in her house, no one knows where she went." "Well can't say I'm surprised." He snorts. "Are you okay getting home?" He asks. "Yes thanks, the driver is coming to get me."

"Okay, just hold on In there alright." "I will." She said with a tight lip smile. "I'll send over some pastries for all of you later." He said getting up. "Thank you Ty, may God bless you always." She said hugging him. "Oh, before I forget this's for you." He said handing her an envelope and she hugs him even tighter.
