"Awww... She's so cute!"
Feifei gushed over her Magical Beast once again and then grinned when she sensed the girls around her burn in envy.
The Fey Dragon was truly a mystical creature, and the more you looked at it, the more beautiful it appeared.
Over the past few days, the girls had not seen Feifei without her Drgaon sitting or sleeping on her shoulder. And it was no different this time as they found little Feya wrapping herself with her hair as she slept on her shoulder.
"So, what happened to the Fox Immortal next?" Reina pouted and asked, trying to change the subject and return to the story Celine was narrating to them, having borrowed the book from Minami.
"He was expelled from the Clan for breaking their Laws and disrespecting their Blood, and for thousands of years that followed, he locked himself in the Mount Bayak," The grey-eyed lady told them, and the twins sighed in pity.
"He was betrayed by the one he loved the most and gave up everything for." Fiona sadly said, and both Amira and Reina nodded their heads.
"He was dumb." Ingvild, who was lost in her thoughts, suddenly said, grabbing all their attention.
"Why do you say that?" Feifei frowned.
"He fell in love with a Lesser Being. That would have been fine, but then he chose to break the heart of his sister. Despite knowing well how much she loved him and that it was the right choice to marry her, he refused her because of that pathetic girl. He also tried to force his Clan to accept a Lesser Being, going against their Code and disrespecting his Blood. You might say he did it all for his unconditional love, but that's absurd. He was just dumb and disrespectful. So, he got what he deserved." The younger Carmilla Princess seemed truly upset.
"Hey, hey, calm down." Kiara, who had just walked into the room, came over to hug her little sister. "But yes, I agree. The Fox Immortal was very dumb."
Ingvild smiled when she heard her words and then excitedly jumped up to her feet, having sensed a new presence suddenly appear in the Palace.
"Roulan is here." She said before she ran off, hoping to have a spar against the Qin Princess.
Kiara smiled as she watched her leave, and then glanced over at the Twins, who were seemingly more saddened about the story after hearing Ingvild's words.
"Do you know that this is not the end of the Fox Immortal's story?" She asked, having already read it before.
"What?"
"What happened next?"
Reina and Amira impatiently asked, and Fiona too expectantly looked at her and then at Celine.
"His little sister left the Clan too to join him in his self-imposed imprisonment. She stayed by his side for hundreds of years, never complaining and never leaving, regardless of how much he pleaded with her to leave him alone. Eventually, he began to accept her feelings for him and married her. They had three children together, and with the birth of their third child, they descended the Bayak Mountain to return to their Clan..."
Kiara narrated to them what happened in the second story, but then stopped and frowned. Feifei did the same when she too heard a commotion in the living room next to theirs.
"What's happened?" Celine furrowed her brows as she looked at the sudden change in Feifei's expression, where she looked quite alarmed.
But before the twins could ask the same question, the girl got off the couch and rushed out.
When she arrived in the next living room, Feifei found a very tense Roulan, and Qingyue was standing right in front of her, looking even more anxious than her.
Ingvild's face was slightly pale, and she was sitting closely next to Rebecca, who was holding her hand and squeezing it.
"Why has he locked us in here?!" The grey-eyed girl screamed, and those who had just arrived in the room, following Feifei, finally got the gist of what was happening when they checked that they were unable to leave Aerzar.
"Calm down, Yue." Rebecca gently asked her, but Qingyue was way too anxious right now.
"Why does he have to lock us in here..." She anxiously looked at her blonde sister-wife. "He's about to do something crazy, Rebecca."
There was silence after her words, and when everyone instinctively looked at Feifei, who was wearing a deep frown on her face, looking pale, they knew that Qingyue's instincts were true.
Soon enough, everyone at the Palace arrived in the living room, and once they learned about what was happening on Gaia, a suffocating silence reigned in the room for several minutes.
Somehow, having everyone in the same room, and seeing the calmess on the faces of Venessa, Rebecca, Amelia, Kiara, and Minami, soon calmed everyone down.
The five of them were the only ones who did not seem bothered at all, or perhaps, they were hiding it really well.
"I understand that I would be a burden if he took me to deal with Qin Feng, but you could have helped him..." Qingyue whispered, and everyone knew that her words were directed at Rebecca.
"He has his pride, Yue." The Blonde sighed.
"Is his Pride more important than his safety?" She clenched her fists, not becoming a little mad, and when her sister started giggling at her words, she glared at her. "What?"
"Yes." She straightforwardly answered. "The Pride is more important."
Those who did not understand her words turned to look at her and frowned.
"You should have trust in him and his ability. I am worried about his safety too, and I fear that he will get hurt since he considers Qin Feng a threat big enough to protect us all from getting involved. As for me, perhaps, he simply does not want me to get involved and ruin his fun." She shrugged.
"He's fighting a Life and Death battle and that's all you have to say?" Qingyue clenched her fists and lashed out, scaring a few girls at the table who had never seen her lose her composure like this.
Some subconsciously looked at Rebecca and sighed in their hearts when they saw that she was about to poke some fun at her Sister-Wife, but before she could say something, someone else at the table, who had not said any word so far, spoke.
"Calm down, Yue." Amelia lightly said. "You must not lose your composure."
Her reminder made Qingyue tense up, but she immediately regained control over her Powers, which had started producing a Poison that could have harmed everyone at the table.
Ayesha comfortingly grabbed her hand and squeezed it, and the grey-eyed girl cast an apologetic glance at everyone.
"There's nothing we can do right now. And there is no point in fretting over something that you have no control over." The blonde smiled when their eyes met again. "He will be fine."
Her words made Qingyue's eyes turn misty, and all the girls who were extremely worried, lowered their heads as well.
"He just wants to test himself." Venessa suddenly said, and then stood up to leave the room. "You can express your dissatisfaction when he returns. Rebecca's right. There is no point in wasting time and fretting over this matter."
And with those words, she started walking out of the room.
"Minami." She stopped at the door to turn around to call the girl and smiled when the said girl immediately walked over to her and placed her hand in the waiting hand of her mother.
Gina, Celine, Sibyl, and Kashish stood up to follow Venessa and Minami, and then Amelia too left the room with Zoey and Helena.
"So, it is a One-Way Duel of Subjugation?" Rebecca suddenly asked, smiling at Roulan, who frowned and nodded her head.
"Keith refused to accept the Challenge unless Qin Feng put everything on the line."
"Heh... so, his wife will belong to Keith too once the battle is over." She grinned, and Feifei and Qingyue were the first ones to react to her words.
"What?"
"That's what Duel of Subjugation means. You literally put everything you have on the line, including all your blessings. Your children and spouses count are your blessings, but there are certain technicalities," She informed them. "Of course, it does not extend to the Living Things which are bound by Sacred Vows, but I doubt Qin Feng took a Scared Vow with Sisi. Also, I am pretty sure that a man like him considers his wife his commodity."
"There's no way Keith would ever accept her!" Qingyue immediately shook her head.
"Not even as a slave?" She teased, and Qingyue adamantly shook her head.
"I won't accept it." Feifei bluntly said, and the blonde giggled at her words before looking at Roulan, who was still frowning. "Did Qin Feng Vow on his Blood too?" She curiously asked, and as soon as the Qin Princess nodded her head, her eyes sparkled in understanding. "Interesting."
Everyone frowned when Rebecca left the table, wearing a mysterious smile on her face, and only Avriel, Rouxi, and Roulan understood what the vowing on your Blood and putting it on the line entailed.
"Why would anyone do such a thing?" Kiara disgustedly said.
"Keith said that as soon as you initiate a Vow where you put your Blood and Blessings on the line, you start losing the favours of the Divine Laws. Even if you win the duel, you have already committed an unpardonable sin. Only your ruin awaits you after that point."
"What does Vowing on your Blood mean?" Nana, who had been silent, suddenly asked, and Roulan instinctively looked at the Mortal Goddesses at the table who had remained silent.
"It means that if Qin Feng has a child, the child would become Keith's slave. Of course, Keith can choose to accept or refuse the mother and child as his slaves, but if he does accept them, then they can't resist it when he places a Slave Seal on them." The white-haired Princess lightly said, and her words made them all frown.
"Sisi isn't pregnant, is she?" Rouxi asked, looking at Iseul, who immediately shook her head.
"It's only been a week since she first slept with him. We can't say anything for another week or two."
The Inheritor of Nuwa subconsciously glanced at Feifei, and seeing the frown on her face, where she looked very uncomfortable, she sighed in her heart.
