chapter 16

"Sara?" Stefan asked nervously, he had been acting odd all day.

"Yes, my darling?" Sara turns to him once she's done packing Hanie stuff to bring home. Suddenly, Stefan dropping on to one knee and pulling something out of his pocket.

"Sara, I love you, more than anyone in this world. I want you back in my life. To hold and to kiss you. I want to feel your tenderness and warmth. I adore you so much that I can't imagine living without you, so I guess what I'm trying to say is, will you marry me?"

"Yes, yes of course!" Sara practically screamed happily as Stefan slid the golden band with an emerald stone onto her fourth finger before standing up back to his feet. Sara then launched herself into his arms, hugging him with love and passion.

She was beyond surprised with this sudden proposal that she had to accept without wasting anymore time. Time is precious. She had to appreciate every single moment that they spend together.

She imagined and saw herself dancing with the male at their beautiful wedding ceremony with families and friends watching on, with smiles on their faces.

"I love you forever, and to be honest, I thought you would never ask." Stefan smiled and gently stroked Sara's perfectly sculpted cheek as he pulled her in for another kiss.

Sara's cheeks flush to cherry pink as she leaned into his side, resting her head in the crook of Stefan's neck. At that moment, the door swings open and they heard their child gleeful cheer erupt from her chest, followed by a peal of tiny, merry laughter.

"Yay! Daddy and mama can sleep together with Hanie!" The little voice cheers. Followed by Dylan, Minho and Hailey. They cheerfully conveying a word of congratulations to the pair.

Life was chaotic, but also better than ever. They're finally getting married. Hanie will experience a complete family. However, no matter how badly Sara wanted to continue believing when she told herself that it was possible to be happy again, she couldn't. Especially after seeing their second attempt at love will probably fall apart before her eyes.

"Stefan." A tear started to form in the corner of her eyes. This just wasn't right. Not being with him wasn't right.

"Yes, my love?" He looked deep into her eyes. For a brief moment, she could feel everything she had been through. All the pain and worries she felt when Stefan left her five years ago was gone. Totally erased.

She hesitated for a moment, then leaned over and softly pressed her lips onto Stefan's. The moment their lips attached they both felt like their whole bodies connected. He cupped her face with his palms and the tear in her eyes finally fell. Their hearts pounded so hard, the kiss almost felt like, heaven.

They're both was so warm that they forgot about their surroundings. They forgot about their child, their friends, everything. That moment was just them two.

The kiss lasted a few seconds, then their lips broke apart. Minho and Hailey immediately went forward and group hug each other together with Sara. "It would be an honor for me to be your bridesmaid." Hailey spoke and gave her a quick peck on her cheeks.

After the small celebrations, visiting hours came to an end. Sara felt her chest tightens as tonight she does not wish to leave Stefan by himself, but they have to be home. Hanie and herself has been in the hospital since the past week. If they stayed longer, afraid both mother and child will suffer backache soon.

"You both going to be just fine." Stefan voice out, muffled against Sara's delicate ear.

She tightens her hold on his hospital beige gown, closes her eyes and presses a kiss on his neck. "We're all going to be fine."

That night, Stefan tossed and turned in the black of night. He was tired and felt so weak. He had been trying to force himself to fall asleep for the past hours. Finally, he gave up and opened his eyes. Slowly adjusted to the darkness.

Why was he having such a hard time falling asleep, he thought to himself. He always fell asleep so easily in the past few days. He then realized he could always fall asleep quickly with Sara by his side. Couldn't help but wonder, will the other be able to sleep peacefully when he finally leaves the world?

As much as he tried to force it, Sara too couldn't sleep well. Hanie was sleeping soundly by her side. Looking at her, she was grateful to God for blessings her with a beautiful child. She's her world and she's the light that filled her heart. Yes, Stefan had given her a beautiful, vibrant daughter.

She touched the ring on her fourth finger and replaying those short and quick moments when the male smoothly slipped in the ring onto her fingers. A tear slipped down her cheeks again. She thought she would never see her daughter smiles or hear her angelic voice. Sara's afraid that she's going to lose Stefan too. Truly, she's terrified.

"Fear not, Hanie. Mama won't leave you. Everywhere I go, I will sure to bring you along with me." Sara whispered softly to her child as she plants a small kiss on Hanie's forehead and lips.

I gaze into Sara's sad blue eyes and smiles; she looks so ethereally calm. I silently trying to convey all of my love I have in my heart for her.

I close my eyes and inhales deeply, breathing in the lovely scent. I saw a tear rolls down her cheeks when I softly stroke the side of her hair tenderly, pleading her to not leave me behind. Because the pain will be unbearable for me if she leaves.

My precious daughter who is adorably wearing white silky dress with white flowers patches on her dress, run towards me. I smile at my smart and tactful baby girl. She is so much like her mama. I scoop her up and covers her face with my kisses and she laughs hysterically. "Stop, daddy stop. Your face tickles me!"

"I love you so much, my baby girl." I says and looked at my daughter who is squirming in my arms trying desperately to be put down. She's a blessing for our family.

"I love you too, daddy. Come, follow us! We can go see pretty flowers together." She says and grabbing the sides of my face as she gives me a big, sloppy kiss. I saw Sara sadly pouts and keep looking down. I put her down and walk closer to Sara, lifted up her chin.

"I'm leaving now. You know I can't live without Hanie. I'm bringing her along with me. Don't worry about us. But, if you're suffering, come back to me. Come back to us. Hanie and I, will be waiting for you from the other side."

"Will you be there if I come?" I asked with a louder voice, because suddenly a strong wind was buzzing around us. Sara just nodded at my questions and I can only watch her goes further back with Hanie in her arms.

I tried to grabbed her but I couldn't reach out, something hardens my movements. I started to hyperventilating, I can't breathe, it hurts so much when out of sudden everything goes black.
