Chapter2 My breakfast

RRRRRIIIINNNNGGGG!!!! Claire's alarm clock rang. It was then four am. She was the first to wake up in the whole hostel. She did her morning routine and was ready to leave for class at about five am. There were a few student on the compound. She waved at any of them when she came into contact with them. She soon arrived at her classroom and there was nobody there since she came so early.

"This is the right time." She strolled towards Duncan's desk.

She tilted her head a bit and scanned the desk with her eyes before squatting near the desk and remove a screw driver from her back pack. She started to loosen the screws fixed in the desk. An evil smirk was painted on her face as she was putting her retaliation plan in place. She got up and glanced at the desk to make sure nobody will notice that the screws are loosened before admiring her work.

"Good luck DD. I can't wait for your karma to reach you." She left the classroom and giggled in the hallway.

She went to the chemistry lab and saw the not so serious mess she made. The only thing she had to do was to just dust the tables. She put down her bag and got a clean napkin. She tied her hair in a messy bun and started dusting. She found it quite difficult since she rarely do cleaning. The dust penetrated her nostrils making her sneeze.

"Hahahaha." Claire heard someone mock her. She turned to follow the sound and there she saw Duncan leaning on the doorframe with his arms folded on his chest and legs crossed. Claire rolled her eyes at the sight of him. "So weird to see a goddess doing the cleaning. Hahahaha."

"Don't you have other things to do, huh?" She sneered

"Nope, the only business I have to do is to stand right here and watch the goddess clean. Pftt."

"Idiot." Claire murmured.

"What?"

"None of your business." Claire rolled her eyes again and continued cleaning whilst Duncan just stood at the same spot teasing her. This was indeed quite difficult for her as a beginner. She seemed to make silly moves in just dusting the lab. These actions of hers made Duncan's sense of humor to accelerate.

After she was done, she dropped the rag angrily on a table and sauntered towards Duncan with one corner of her lips curved up into a dirty smirk.

She stood before Duncan with her sweaty face and some strands of hair stuck on her face which made her look damn sexy. Duncan subconsciously licked his lips upon seeing this hot sexy goddess whom he was ready to do the unthinkable with.

Claire on the other hand held her waist as she looked up at Duncan. He straightened himself when he noticed the change in the situation. He stood tall before Claire and arched an eyebrow. There was an awkward silence which seemed to never break. Their eyes were locked on each as if they were communicating with them.

"Well DD." Claire was the first to speak. "I think the goddess is done cleaning so you may leave now." She said flatly. Duncan just stood there smiling wickedly as he stared at Claire.

"Mr. Dylan." Claire snapped her fingers in the air causing Duncan to make a slight jerk.

"What are you thinking about?" She asked. Duncan chuckled and answered.

"Actually, I was just having a great dream right now. And you were in."

"Me?" Claire arched her brows pointing a finger at her nose.

"Mmh. Do you want to know about it?" Duncan leaned in on Claire and asked but there was no answer. He sighed then started talking. "Actually in my dream, you know, you were my servant. Hahahaha. Isn't that really funny? Hahahaha"

"Hahaha, yeah really funny." Claire faked a laughter and glared at Duncan afterwards. "So getting me into trouble wasn't enough for you. You went to the extent of day dreaming about me being your servant huh?"

"Mm and I really enjoyed it."

"Yeah you'll have to. Because this will only happen in your dreams and not in 'reality' ". She stressed.

"Oh really?" Duncan smirked.

"NEVER IN A LIFETIME. So it is better if you draw out of cloud nine."

"Actually from my perspective it'll happen. By hook or by crook." He continued to wear that evil smirk on his face.

"Whatever." She rolled her eyes.

"Let's see th...."

"Hey Duncan." A sweet feminine voice interrupted. Claire tiptoed and looked over Duncan's shoulder and Duncan also turned to the direction of the voice.

There, a young beautiful girl stood in the hallway smiling sweetly at Duncan. She was fair and also a blonde. She was quite tall unlike Claire but her beauty was incomparable with Claire's because Claire was actually a goddess whose beauty knew no bounds. The girl walked majestically towards Duncan with the smile still plastered on her face. Claire couldn't get the access to see the girl since Duncan towered before her blocking her view though she knew who the person was. The girl was Gwen Shenton, Duncan's current girlfriend and also the student council president.

"Hi babe." Duncan greeted when she halted in front of him. She still smiled sweetly.

"What are you doing here?" She asked which meant she has not yet noticed Claire's presence behind Duncan.

"Well, I came here to have breakfast." He answered nonchalantly.

"Breakfast? Here? But this is the chemistry lab." She said wearing a confused face. Meanwhile Claire was also boiling with anger behind Duncan. So in order to stop herself from exploding, she cleared her throat.

"Who is behind you Duncan?" Gwen creased her forehead.

"My breakfast. Breakfast for the king." He answered, smirking.

"Huh?"

"Excuse me?" Claire called making Duncan turn to her. Gwen's eyes started to burn with anger and jealousy when she saw Claire.

"You, what are you doing here?" Gwen blurted.

"Don't ask me that question. Ask this idiot before you." Claire retorted glaring at Gwen.

She was really annoyed Gwen has always got some guts to question her just because she was the president of the student council, though talking about the status in the business world, Gwen doesn't reach Claire at all. In fact, though Claire was unknown, she is one of the top ten richest kids in the country but she always kept a low profile. Actually, Duncan was the second and the first nobody knew that person. Not even a single picture of that person was on the net just as Claire and Duncan.

Duncan arched his brow in amusement when he saw how the two girls were shooting daggers at each other with their gazes.

"Uhm babe." He called Gwen. "Let's leave now 'cos I think the goddess I just called my breakfast is gradually shape-shifting into a little beast." Duncan suggested when he saw Claire's bloodshot eyes and her clenched fists.

He knew Claire very well that she was someone who couldn't control her temper and was always out of control when her anger was at peak. He held Gwen's hand and started to depart with her.

As Claire watched their backs, she remembered she have to be in class before Duncan and witness how he falls.

"Crap. I need to go to class now. Where's Mr. Parson? He ought to be here to inspect the work." She spoke to herself in a distress tone.

It seemed mother luck was in a good mood this morning, because she saw Mr. Parson approaching from a distant. When Mr. Parson arrived, he entered the lab with Claire and scanned the whole room with his eyes.

"Good job Miss Klein. Now you may go. But I'm warning you for the last time, don't mess with my lab ever again." He warned.

"Yeah, okay. I'm not messing with your lab again but can I leave now?"

"Hmm." Mr. Parson waved and Claire immediately dashed out with her backpack on her back.

She saw Duncan and Gwen still making their way to the class like tortoises. She increased her speed in excitement. Unfortunately, she bumped into Gwen making Gwen to fall on her knees but Claire still didn't stop. She ran past them without apologizing.

"Hey!" Gwen shouted but Claire didn't stop. Duncan squinted his eyes towards Claire who was still running.

"Why is she in such a hurry?" He asked himself.

"Duncan, aren't you gonna help me get up?"

"Just get up. Don't you have legs and hands?" Duncan scolded without removing his gaze from where Claire disappeared. Gwen frowned and helped herself up then she held Duncan's arm for them to head on.
